Signs Your Copperfield Damper Repair Is Failing

• The plate won’t budge, or needs force that feels wrong. Rust and creosote cement the plate to the frame, especially in San Mateo’s marine climate where evening fog introduces moisture that mixes with acidic flue gases. Forcing it bends the plate or shears the pivot pin.
